TheInvisibleGrill.com is an independent educational publication about invisible grills — the tensioned stainless-steel wire safety systems installed on balconies and windows across India's cities.

Why we exist

Every year, thousands of Indian families make a one-time safety decision for their balconies with almost no reliable information. What ranks in search results is marketplace listings and installer sales pages: no citations, no engineering explanations, no honest account of limitations, and no answer to basic questions like "what does the building code actually require?" or "how do I know I received the steel grade I paid for?"

We built the resource we couldn't find. Every guide on this site is researched against primary sources — the National Building Code 2016, IS standards, state fire-safety legislation and verified market data — and written to help you decide, not to sell you anything.

Where we stand

This site is written by a practitioner, and we are open about it: founder Thariq runs AluGuard Systems, a Chennai fabrication company that manufactures aluminium screen systems and installs invisible grills. That workshop experience is where the site's field knowledge comes from.

It is also why the editorial rules are strict: guides never promote the founder's company, the site does not route enquiries to it, no installer pays for coverage or placement, and pricing comes from market-wide research. Where a cheaper alternative — like a safety net — genuinely serves your problem better, we say so. Honest verdicts are the entire value of the site.
